Individual Counseling


Individual sessions are a time for me to get to know you so I can help you create an individualized treatment plan. Your first therapy session will start with assessments of where you are in your recovery. It is also a time for you to get to know me and my counseling style. We will find coping strategies and supports that you can use in your recovery to achieve the stability and the happiness you deserve.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy


I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, an approach with clinical evidence proving it actually produces change. With this approach I help people identify faulty ways of thinking and learned patterns of unhelpful behavior that led to substance and alcohol use.  

Through approaches that improve thought patterns and coping strategies, I assist people in dealing with underlying stressors so they find healthier ways of coping without the use substances and alcohol.

Also, I discuss the science behind addiction and how genetics lead to the struggle to stop using alcohol and substances on your own. We will explore individual approaches to help you gain control over alcohol and substances.
